ELF Mineral Miracle Primer !!!

I bought the ELF mineral infused face primer a few weeks ago when ELF had 40% off it retails at £6 and is a make up staple.

ELF'S Claim…

Transform your face into a flawless and smooth canvas with the Mineral Infused Face Primer. Developed to combat against excess oil, flaky dryness, enlarged pores and fine lines. This clear multipurpose skin primer will prepare your skin so makeup goes on evenly for a long lasting satin finish.

The packaging is really simple and sleek  and i love the pump idea.

A pump is always important to me as it means you can dispense just the right amount of primer easily, and it is more sanitary then having to dip your fingers in something daily. I have read a lot of reviws on blogs where people have been complaining about the pump breaking however haven’t experienced this .... as of yet (fingers crossed it won't)

The primer is completely clear with a light-weight gel like consistency. It is not greasy at all and leaves my skin the softest it's ever felt !!  It leaves the skin smooth as a baby’s bottom making a nice smooth canvas for any makeup application.
Overall, I really like this primer. My makeup applies flawless, and stays put throughout the day and night ! I am oily around the t zone and this primer helps my make up stay put and takes away the shine.

I would definitely buy this product again !!!

BODY SHOP- Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash

I first stumbled upon this Tea Tree Oil Face Wash a few years ago when my mum decided to start buying it for me to use in my teenage years. I cant remember not having it now !
Having already heard of the benefits of Tea Tree Oil for your skin i decided to buy some. As my mum wants me t start buying my own toiletries now :(
Most acne or spot cleansers have either salicylic acid in them to some degree, or some percentage of benzoyl peroxide in the ingredients.
This is something different.
It doesn't have an over powering smell but does smell strongly of tea tree so if you don't like that smell then this probably isn't for you .
The Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash works into a foamy lather pretty quickly, and I was advised to rub my face with this for a few minutes in a circular motion.
The results are amazing.
I don’t think that my face has ever felt so clean. I know that sounds crazy. Clean is clean, right? Well, that’s what I used to think until I tried this tea tree face wash. You just have to try it to see and feel what I’m talking about.
The Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash is available at your local Body Shop at £4.50 and there is currently a 2 for 3 offer on !!
If you sign up to there love your body rewards card you also get 20% off !!!!!

ELF Lipstick in Fantasy

Another product from ELF I got in my haul was the fantasy lipstick. What I have noticed with ELF lipsticks are the shades they show on the website are not actually accurate !! Make sure you Google swatches or reviews before you purchase as they do come out different colours when you actually use the item. Anyway back t this post.

So what does it look like..............

The packaging is what you would expect with ELF however I do like the clear part of the lipstick tube where you can see the colour.

The lipstick is long lasting and has a great colour brown with orange undertones I would say and it also has a great shine. I have also noticed that the ELF Lipsticks are really nourishing and helps to condition and smooth my lips. The only flaw i would give it is that it didn't have the nicest of smells or taste :( I would suggest elf add a flavouring to them so they taste a little bit better and also smell better as they do smell of cheap make up !

However if you can get over that little fault then these really are great lipsticks to buy. I would definitely recommend them and at only £1 you cant go wrong !!

Overall 3/5

I just wish it tasted and smelt as nice as it looks !!

MUA Pearl Shade 3 Eye Shadow

Hi Everyone :)
Today I am doing a little review for you on an MUA Pearl Eye-shadow in shade 3 I bought on Saturday . It cost £1 like most of their items and it is a Silver shimmer colour, This is my first individual eye-shadow from MUA i have the heaven and earth pallete and other MUA goodies but this is my first individual eye shadow. The first thing I notice is how pigmented it is !!

Supposedly the pearl shades are more pigmented than the normal MUA Eye shadows. However i haven't tried any others so until then i cant fully support this but from just this one i can see why !

Not the best swatch as this looks better in real life !

With Flash

Without Flash

Overall

Pearl Shade 3 is an unbelievably pigmented silver at only £1 and it lasts all night !!
10/10 and i will definitely be purchasing more eye shadows !!

ELF Cream Eye-Liner

I love eye-liner and I think it is a must for EVERY girls make up bag. It can instantly transform your eyes and give you a completely different look. ( In my case alive and awake !!)

When I was introduced to the ELF website by my friend Amy I was a bit dubious I constantly thought... How could products that were so cheap be any good?  But as this is probably my 12th item from ELF I can honestly say they are really good especially for the price !! My favourite is the Mineral range but anyway back to this post....

The cream liner is available online from the elf website and retails for £3.50 and comes in lots of different colours from black to green to purple to every colour in between !

ELF make the following claim: Creates smooth lines that are defined and precise. Smudge-proof, budge-proof and water-resistant coverage for all day wear to combat against, sweat, tears and rain!

A pretty bold statement for something that was cheap as chips really.

You get 4.7g of product and an angled eyeliner brush which doesnt sound like a lot of product but you really do only need a little bit to achieve the look you want. The swatches below are just one coat and in my opinion is too much ! therefore less is more with this product !
In my opinion the way it is packaged makes it look professional and simple there are No fancy frills to detract from the product and there doesn't need to be ! They product speaks for itself.

As for application, I would say it is fairly easy...obviously the more you practice the better you will get! If you arent that great at liquid eyeliner then I would definitely give this a go! The only flaw is the brush as it makes it come out to thick and is quite hard to use i would suggest buying another eye liner brush preferably the really think skinny ones !!

It is pretty much sweat proof and water resistant and it is a pain in the backside to get off because it doesnt want to budge so I would say it is definitely budge proof!

Overall....

I would give the product a 4/5 the product itself is great but the brush lets it down :( Its really difficult to use and the size of it doesn't help.
I would definitely by this item again although its looking like this will last me all year !! :D

Mineral Infused Face Primer

All For £14 !!!!

MUA Glitter Eye liner in Silver Sparkle

So on my recent visit to Superdrug I picked up some MUA goodies and one of them was the silver Sparkle Eye Liner.

At only £1 I am really impressed with it ! I got one in black also and both lasted a very long time. The black eye-liner even struggled to wash off with soap and water proving its staying power and MUA's Quality.

The silver eye liner is a silver based crayon with fine silver glitter inside. The Pencil also comes with a built in sharpener in the lid which is very clever and perfect !! Especially if like me you never have your sharpener when you need it !

Overall i would give this eye-liner a 10/10 and definitely buy this again !!

Lush Phoenix Rising Bath Bomb

So i recently bought the Phoenix Rising Bath Bomb at £3.15 from lush it was a last minute by as it just looked so pretty !

Lush Say - .
Your phoenix will sink to the bottom then rise in triumph, her mythical sparkling purple and green plumage unfurling through your bath water.
She’ll release gentle shea butter, cocoa butter and jojoba oil to leave your skin feather-soft. Exotic essential oils of fruit and spices take your mind on a flight of fancy to distant shores where you are lying on a beach drinking spiced rum.
Actually, you won’t want to rise again from this bath – you’ll want to just stay on in there gliding on the dream! The phoenix is often quoted as using cinnamon sticks to make her nest. So we’ve topped this ballistic with some, so she has some handy nesting material, should she wish to stick around at yours for a while. Meanwhile, it will also add to the delicate spiciness of your bath.

I say -

Whilst the bath bomb was beautiful and did leave my bath a lovely purple colour and my skin soft there was something that i cant put my finger on ! I did enjoy using it but i don't think i would be in a rush to buy it again. The cinnamon on top of the bath bomb had no smell and where just like pieces of wood in my bath which i quickly scooped out. The smell wasn't that of cocoa butter or jojoba oil but just of a general soap smell !
It did however leave my skin feather soft.

Overall verdict 6/10 - Not what lush promises but an overall nice bath :)

Mermaid nails NOTD

So I know millions of posts have already appeared on magnetic nail varnish and I bought this a while ago but completely forgot to blog about it !!

This is 17 magnetised nail in blue and I love it ! It retail at £5.99 so pricey I would say for 17 but also a lot cheaper than nails inc !! It applies brilliantly and the magnetic effect is just as good as the £13 nails inc one !!

To me it looks like a mermaid nail varnish almost scale or wave like and the blue is the sea :D

Better than LUSH? ... Bomb Cosmetic

So for Christmas I bought  my mum some bomb cosmetics off Amazon and they where amazing !!!!!

The smell and feel they left on your skin where much higher than LUSH !!! They came in a lovely box all wrapped up in straw and you could smell the product as soon as the post man handed it to me !! I wish i had done a review on my mums box but unfortunately i wasn't blogging then !! Bomb cosmetics is definitely worth it and i believe BETTER THAN LUSH !!!

What they say -

At Bomb Cosmetics we take the art of bathing seriously. Whether you want to relax after a hard day, refresh yourself before you go out or just lock yourself away for a little pamper time, we have designed our products with all of these situations in mind.
Our aim is to make products that make you feel special every time you use them. We combine fragrances that make your mouth water, or remind you of special times, or simply make you smell divine.
And to compliment our fragrances, we use natural ingredients like Shea Fruit Butter, rare oils like Gold of Pleasure and the finest essential oils such as Jasmine Flower oil, made from petals picked before sunrise and Rose Otto, distilled from Bulgarian Rose petals.
The way we make our products is very simple - we make everything by hand. All of our products are mixed, pressed, moulded, rolled and shaped by hand. We don't use anyone else to make our products and all of our products are made in our factories by our own trained staff. This way, we make sure our product quality is of the highest order.
But being a little selfish and enjoying some "me time" doesn't need to come at a price to the environment.
We believe that animals shouldn't suffer because we choose to take these little pleasures in life, and that we should minimise our impact on the environment as much as possible.

Bomb cosmetics prices are around the same as lush prices unless you go to amazon !!!!

Amazon charges between £8-£12 for the bomb cosmetics gift set and also offer free postage :)

Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub

So fist things first this lip scrub is edible !!! I cant stop licking it off my lips :)
so........
The pink all things girly, bubblegum flavour lip scrub buy lush retails at £4.95 a bit pricey when you can make it yourself dead easy !!

But......
The lip Scrub Clears dead skin and flakiness from lips, leaving them moisturised and smooth. (Be carefull when applying it to chapped lips)
It;s made from castor sugar to act as a gentle scrub and jojoba oil to be wonderfully moisturising but light enough not to leave you feeling greasy.
It keeps lips in tip top condition, for kissing, pouting, talking or anything else you wish to do with them ;) (sorry couldn't resist)
The lip scrub also provides a great base for lipstick, which looks much better on smooth prepared lips.
