17 va va voom mascara !

So boots have a 3 for 2 offer on and after reading a fellow bloggers blog review on this product I thought I would give it a go and purchased it!

So what do I think...


The packaging is quite nice and I really like the purple and silver on it.

The brush itself is quite fat and does get a lot of product on it. I didn't like the size of the brush and so have now used my maybeline falsies brush to apply this mascara. ( this also makes them longer)

However for the purpose of a proper review I have only used the 17 va va voom Mascara and brush in the photos.

The mascara applies extremely easily and and does make lashes longer without the clumping.

The only flaw I have is the brush as it was so big I did end up with mascara on my eye lid :(

Boots 3 for 2 - beetle juice dupe??

So boots have 3 for 2 on all their beauty and hair products at the moment.

I went in trying to find the models own beetle juice collection but my boots in town doesn't have any so I settled for some different polishes.

What did I get .....

Barry m coral - £2.99
Miss sporty 060 blue - £1.99
Miss sporty sparkle top - £1.99
17 va va voom mascara - £6.99 but had a voucher so £3 :)


I have never used miss sporty before but thought the blue looked similar to the beetle juice.

I also added the sparkle top over some of the blue just to show you the effect :)

To be completely honest, I have no idea what the difference between the "flared" version and regular version are. I looked on the Maybelline website and the product description for both were the same.

I think -  

The packaging is simple typical Maybelline style it doesn't particularly excite me nor does it offend me I'm just like oh there's a purple tube that must be my mascara in my bag. So I suppose a plus that its easily seen in your bag ?

The actual formula of the mascara is quite good too. It does lengthen my lashes and it's easy to build volume with continuous strokes of the brush. If you are applying more than one coat it does need to be done pretty much straight away as it dries Quickly !!

Sorry for the blurriness i cant afford a camera so use my phone !! But this is after 2 coats in both photos.

                    Overall i would definitely repurchase this !!!

BLINK + Go hi definition Mascara

So this mascara is what i got in my glossy box and i thought id just do a quick post to show you what its like and its effect :) This Mascara is really good its flake free and not thick and gloopy like many other mascaras i have used. It lengthens and thickens my eyelashes and this could replace my all time favourite clinique mascara !!

A you can see it has done a really good job it has just taken a few coats :) the only flaw with this mascara was as it was waterproof it was a little difficult to just simply wash off and i had to use make up remover but overall a brilliant item :) 

 Overall i would buy the item again :)
