Max factor Fantasy fire

So i know quite a few people have posted about this nail varnish but i have only just got it as i won it !!

I recieved this nail varnish along with some other AMAZING goodies from Charlotte over at carlottasbeautyspot. I absolutely love her blog and was amazed at the fact i won one of her competitions. I can honestly say i was jumping around the room :)

 Here's what i won....

Daniel Sandler Water Colour Blush
Daniel Sandler Water Colour Blush Brush
Max factor Fantasy Fire Polish
and a lovely card which has one of my favourite films on the front !!!

So here is the Max Factor Fantasy Fire polish.....

Seeing this polish in real life I can assure you the photos really don't do it justice. The warm purple base is brought to life with a true rainbow of shimmer. The holographic effect is beautiful, with sparks of red, gold, blue and green lighting up the polish at different angles.

However, on application I did find that the polish was very sheer. I am not terribly patient when it comes to nails so a polish that dries quickly and is opaque in one or two coats is essential. Fantasy Fire needs a generous three or four coats to reveal it's beauty, and though I do love the colour and think it was worth the effort, it does require a little tenacity. The above pictures are 4 coats !!!

This nail varnish on ebay is going for a bomb but boots do have more in stock and at only £3.99 a bargain for a pretty colour. boots and superdrug.  ( Now £2.99 in Superdrug)

17 va va voom mascara !

So boots have a 3 for 2 offer on and after reading a fellow bloggers blog review on this product I thought I would give it a go and purchased it!

So what do I think...

The packaging is quite nice and I really like the purple and silver on it.

The brush itself is quite fat and does get a lot of product on it. I didn't like the size of the brush and so have now used my maybeline falsies brush to apply this mascara. ( this also makes them longer)

However for the purpose of a proper review I have only used the 17 va va voom Mascara and brush in the photos.

The mascara applies extremely easily and and does make lashes longer without the clumping.

The only flaw I have is the brush as it was so big I did end up with mascara on my eye lid :(

But here are the photos to prove its power ........

NOTD - Barry M Coral

So with the rubbish weather we have been having I thought I would try and bring some summer into my life with my nails !

So as previously mentioned boots had 3 for 2 on and I bought the Barry M coral nail varnish at £2.99.

And here's what it looks like ....

It's more of a red with orange undertones than a pinky coral, but it's a great burt of colour in the dark miserable weather !

Boots 3 for 2 - beetle juice dupe??

So boots have 3 for 2 on all their beauty and hair products at the moment.

I went in trying to find the models own beetle juice collection but my boots in town doesn't have any so I settled for some different polishes.

What did I get .....

Barry m coral - £2.99
Miss sporty 060 blue - £1.99
Miss sporty sparkle top - £1.99
17 va va voom mascara - £6.99 but had a voucher so £3 :)

I have never used miss sporty before but thought the blue looked similar to the beetle juice.

I also added the sparkle top over some of the blue just to show you the effect :)

Pretty Pastels from NEXT

Next have some great pastel coloured items at the moment here are some of my favourites :)

Our slightly unpredictable weather at the moment is exactly the reason why spring’s prettiest palette should be fully embraced; we like to think we’re helping spring along by wearing delicious ice-cream shades and floaty styles (even if we’re not quite there yet with open toed sandals and bare legs!).

ELF Eyebrow Kit

My eyebrows are naturally very sparse  and I didn't appreciate until recently how filling in eyebrows really frames my face and compliments the rest of my makeup. Along with foundation, filling in my brows is the thing that I have to do every day as a bare minimum. Looking back at photos before brows I can really tell what was missing!

I purchased the ELF eyebrow kit, in the shade Dark, which is a gel and powder combined. The colours are very subtle but defining at the same time which is perfect as I have always  worried that my brows will look too drawn in with a pencil.

ELF Say -
Eyebrow Kit
Eyebrow Kit

Create brows that are fuller, thicker, and more defined! The pigmented wax defines and shapes brows and the color complementing setting powder keeps them looking arched and perfected. The doubled sided taklon brush has one side to help arch your brows while the other side aids in filling them in. This duo provides lasting color definition for a naturally beautiful look.

Directions

Use the pigmented brow gel to define and shape the brows with the angled brush for precise lines. Set the color in with the brow powder and fill in with the blending brush for a natural finished look.

The kit is from the Studio range and is £3.50. I have been using this for about 6 months and barely made a dent in either the gel or the powder so I see this lasting me a very long time!

Generally, I find everything about eyebrow maintenance very tedious such as plucking every day !!!

Anyway what do the brows look like .....................

With ELF Eyebrow Kit

Without the kit

As you can tell there is quite a difference !!!

I would love to try the HD brows and have   them done professionally but don't think i have enough eyebrow ha and i'm worried they might look silly and OTT.
